The Womens PavilionThe Columbian exhibition was notable for its impressive architecture and hulky international attendance. Of particular importance was the Womens Pavilion. The first gear of its kind to have been knowing by a female architect, it revealed much about the social betroth of women at that time, and the need for further progress in the movement for friction match rights. While its existence did not trigger significant changes for the Womens Movement, this pavilion was surely a promising first step that would set a antecedent for womens involvement in later years.All aspects of womens involvement in the wampum fair were overseen by the Board of Lady Managers.
